About Me — & Why I Love What I Do

Ever since I traded the world of software engineering for wedding photography more than 15 years ago, I’ve been drawn to one thing: capturing real emotion. I’m based in Galway, and for me, photographing weddings isn’t just a job — it’s an honour. Each wedding is unique, filled with fleeting glances, laughter, tears, and all the unscripted moments that make a day truly unforgettable.

I approach every wedding with the same goal: to tell your story — in a way that’s honest, warm and timeless. I believe your wedding photos should feel like you: natural, unforced, and full of life. There’s no over-posing, no stiff formality — just love, light, and genuine connection.

My Approach

Your wedding day is full of energy, emotion, and beautiful chaos. My job is to capture it all in a way that feels natural, relaxed, and true to you.

I blend documentary-style storytelling with gentle, unobtrusive guidance when needed. You won’t be over-posed or asked to stand stiffly in ways that feel nothing like who you are. Instead, I focus on honest moments — laughter, nerves, tears, hugs, dance-floor moves, and everything in between.

I want you to look back at your photos and not just see how your day looked, but remember how it felt.

Galway Roots — Ireland Coverage

I’m based just outside Galway city centre and very close to the Quadrangle in University of Galway (and originally from lovely Leitrim). I know the local venues, the ever-changing West of Ireland weather, and all the best pockets of light.

I photograph weddings throughout Galway, Mayo, Clare, Sligo, Westmeath and wherever your celebration takes you across Ireland.

A Little About Me (Beyond the Camera)

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me:
– walking or cycling along a blustery Galway coastline
– hiking in the Connemara mountains
– seeking out the best pint of Guinness in Galway
– trying and failing to tame my 3 rescue cats and most recently
– in my local swimming pool learning how to swim!
