If you’re looking for a luxury wedding venue where the staff will treat you like royalty then you’ve found it in the Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate.  Whether you’re having a small intimate or a “full Irish” wedding there is a room to cater for every need.  And for your photographs you needn’t leave the place!  It has everything; beautifully manicured gardens & grounds, a stunning pavillion overlooking the River Corrib, the unique train carriage that hosts the Pullman’s restaurant along with ample indoor rooms, not to mention the gorgeous old Abbey itself.

If you’re considering a non-religious ceremony then the Abbey itself is a lovely bright venue, full of character with lovely tall cathedral like windows.  There is a balcony from where the singers usually perform & the ceiling of the Abbey is double height so it adds to the granduer & ambience.

Unless you so wish, there really is no need to go anywhere else afterwards for photographs as the grounds are extensive & full of variety; both inside & out.  There are beautiful gardens to the front & rear of the hotel.  The pavillion overlooks the gold course & River Corrib & your panoramic view to the horizon line is uninterrupted so you can see to the far away hills.  If you’d like to take a quiet moment with your newly wed, then a good opportunity is to take a golf buggy down to the shore line & you get the full magestic view of the Glenlo Abbey & grounds as you head back to get your party started!  The Glenlo Abbey offers a choice of 3 different function rooms to suit your wedding guest numbers, to a maximum of 170 guests.
